Taking a proactive stance: develop some “A Technology Infusion Look For List” for administrators to use in observations, and add something about technology infusion to the observation form under delivery of instruction.
In the near future, I would like to see such proficiency tied to contracts, which would require the assessment of proficiency, either through an MSDE tool or a locally developed tool. I believe that other counties require their new hires to gain expertise with these standards. I believe that other counties also require new hires to participate in new teacher professional development.
